Sheikh Hamdan appoints three new CEOs to lead Dubai Health Authority.

What Happened at Dubai Health Authority

Something big happened in Dubai’s health world. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Crown Prince of Dubai, picked three new bosses for the Dubai Health Authority, also called DHA.

The Dubai Health Authority new CEOs will each take care of a different job. One will look after health rules. One will look after computers and digital health tools. And one will look after office and support work.

This news came out on 8 September 2026. It shows that Dubai wants its hospitals and clinics to grow even better and safer.

Meet the Three New Leaders

Let’s meet the three people chosen for these important jobs.

  • Asma Abdullah Saad Al Sherif will be in charge of Health Rules. She makes sure hospitals and doctors follow safe and fair rules.
  • Majid Sultan Al Muhairi will be in charge of Digital Health. He works with computers, apps, and online health records.
  • Mona Mohammad Bajman Almarzooqi will be in charge of Office Support. She helps DHA run smoothly every day.

Each leader got their job through an official paper called an Executive Council Resolution. These papers make the appointment real and official.

Why Health Rules Matter

You may wonder why rules are so important in hospitals. Rules keep people safe. They make sure doctors are trained well and clinics are clean and honest.

Asma Al Sherif already worked at DHA before. She used to lead the health insurance team. Health insurance helps people pay for doctor visits and medicines.

In 2025, more than 4.9 million people were covered by health insurance in Dubai. That is more people than the year before. This shows that more families trust and use the health system every day.

How Computers Help Doctors Today

Doctors do not only use stethoscopes anymore. They also use computers to keep patient records safe and easy to find.

Majid Al Muhairi will lead this digital work. Dubai has a special computer system called NABIDH. It lets doctors in different hospitals see a patient’s health history quickly and safely.

NABIDH already connects more than 1,300 health places and holds almost 9.5 million patient records. This helps doctors give faster and better care.

Dubai is also using smart computer programs, called Artificial Intelligence, to find health problems early. This means doctors can help people before they get very sick.

More Hospitals Are Growing in Dubai

Dubai’s health world is growing fast. In 2025, Dubai had about 5,800 health places. That is more than the year before.

These places include:

  • Hospitals
  • Dental clinics
  • Home healthcare centers
  • Alternative medicine centers

More than 69,000 health workers now work in Dubai. That means more doctors and nurses are ready to help people every day.

Health Is Helping Dubai’s Money Grow

Health is not only about doctors and medicine. It also helps Dubai’s economy grow strong.

In early 2026, the health sector grew faster than any other part of Dubai’s economy. It grew by 17.5 percent in just three months. This means health work is becoming a very important part of the city’s success.

Big Health Plans for the Future

Dubai is not stopping here. There is a big plan to build even more health places by the year 2033.

The plan includes:

  • 3 new hospitals
  • 33 new health centers
  • More support for mental health care
  • More scholarships for Emirati doctors

These new places will be built in growing areas like Al Yalayis, Al Awir, and Nad Al Sheba.

A New Team for Long, Healthy Lives

Dubai wants to be one of the top 10 cities in the world for healthy living. Right now, people in Dubai live a healthy life for about 80.75 years on average.

To reach this big goal, Dubai even started a new group called the Dubai Longevity Authority. This group studies how people can live longer and healthier lives.

With the Dubai Health Authority new CEOs now in place, Dubai is building a stronger, smarter, and healthier system for everyone who lives there.
